The South Summit is a brand that was born in 2012 in Madrid. At that time, the economic crisis was hitting the Spanish business environment hard, which sparked a strong conviction: that the entrepreneurial and innovative spirit would be the driving force to heal the economy. Over a decade later, the South Summit is recognized as one of the leading entrepreneurship and innovation platforms in the world and one of the most important networks of high-value connections among key players in the ecosystem to identify opportunities, develop businesses, and contribute to positive impact.
The South Summit Brazil landed in Porto Alegre in May 2022 through an initiative by the Government of the State of Rio Grande do Sul in partnership with Grupo Four. In March 2023, the capital city of Rio Grande do Sul hosted the second edition of the event.
