enlightED – 5th Edition

Since 2018, Fundación Telefónica, joined by IE University and South Summit, have been bringing the most outstanding international experts in education, technology and innovation together to reflect on the challenges posed in the field of learning and to draw practical conclusions regarding the great debate about education in the digital age. In this 5th edition, Fundación “la Caixa” joins as one of the main promoters of the event.
Since its first edition, enlightED has become a global benchmark in the field of education, innovation and technology. The event has accumulated more than two million spectators from 46 countries and 300 international speakers.

A two-day programme with keynotes and roundtables in the mornings and interactive activities and workshops in the afternoon sessions.
The focus of enlightED 2022 will be Connecting Innovation. Education that transforms, and will be developed during the two days on three main themes:
  1. The digital skills for today and tomorrow
  2. Disrupting the classroom
  3. Advancing equity and inclusion through innovation.

“Entrepreneurship as an Education Platform”

South Summit, as a partner of Enlighted, participates in this new edition with a panel in which our Chief Ecosystem Officer, Liz Fleming, will talk about entrepreneurship as an educational platform and the importance of learning by doing. Don’t miss it this November 16th at 12h45!

Confirmed Speakers

South African psychologist Susan David, author of the bestseller “Emotional Agility”; Monica Arés, head of immersive learning and education at META; Ousman Umar, founder of Nasco Feeding Minds, immigrant and victim of immigrant mafias who now promotes digital education in Ghana; Nuno Crato, mathematician and former Minister of Education of Portugal; Bisila Bokoko, one of the most influential Spanish businesswomen in the US, and Alok Kanojia psychiatrist and co-founder of Healthy Gamer, are some of the confirmed speakers of this 5th edition.

The speakers of this edition will share their views on the challenges in the field of learning and education in the digital era.
This year’s edition also includes panels on computational thinking and Artificial Intelligence applied to Education, Digital Competencies for teachers, or the opportunities that the Metaverse can offer in learning. It will also host a hackathon based on the disruptive methodology of 42, the programming campus implemented by Fundación Telefónica in Spain.
