South Summit

lands in Seoul

María Benjumea (President and Founder of South Summit) participated in the 23rd edition of the World Knowledge Forum (WKF) in South Korea. In her presentation, María showed South Summit’s impact on the European & LATAM ecosystems.

Born in 2000, the WKF has brought together some of the best minds and leaders in the world with a single goal: to build a better world by sharing knowledge and creating solutions

South Summit had the pleasure of having our founder and president, María Benjumea, present at the World Knowledge Forum in Seoul, where she spoke about the role of South Summit in the Spanish entrepreneurial ecosystem in this decade.

South Summit has consolidated itself as a driving platform for the innovative Spanish ecosystem, contributing in its 10-year history to the corporate cultural change, the attraction of talent, the generation of high-value connections and the economic transformation of the country and the city of Madrid. All of this, in collaboration with the other actors of the national ecosystem.

Today, our entrepreneurial ecosystem is valued at over 83 million euros, and this is largely due to the relationship between startups and companies. Spain ranks 4th in the European ranking of countries with more startups, and this is a reflection of the talent, technology, and entrepreneurial character of the South.
